Job Description

We are looking for an HR Manager to hit the ground running in a fast growing company. We are looking for someone who is able to establish a strong HR presence from the ground up, who ideally has worked in the retail industry previously, and who enjoys wearing many hats. The chosen candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Provides high-quality advice and service to management and staff on daily employee relations and performance management issues
  • Offers proactive recruiting assistance working closely with internal recruiter to identify key needs of open positions and ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the recruiting process
  • Works closely with local managers and staff relative to the performance management process, including goal setting, coaching, annual review tracking and support
  • Identifies ways to improve policies and procedures
  • Prepares offer letters, written warnings, and termination letters, as needed
  • Acts as key contact in onboarding of staff
  • Interpret results of employee engagement surveys and utilization of results in goal setting
  • Processing new hire paperwork including assigning employee numbers, compliance with I-9 documents, data entry into HRIS system and account set up
  • Reporting responsibilities include new hire and termination reports
  • Maintain personnel records to ensure compliance with document retention
  • Correspond with internal/external clients and responds to routine inquiries
  • Benefits administration
  • Manage CSR program
  • Assist with annual performance appraisal process
  • Assist with all human resources programs and events
  • Maintain company organization charts, sales maps and sales territory changes
  • Administer service award program
  • Manage Internship Program


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • 2+ years' experience in HR
  • Expertise in HR policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of hiring processes
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
