HR Coordinator

The Human Resources Associate will be responsible for providing first level support to assist employees with their inquiries. This role has an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service; must possess good judgment and decision-making skills, able to carry out job responsibilities proactively and have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. The selected individual must possess a strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data security; must demonstrate a working knowledge of a broad spectrum of human resources policies and practices.

  • Coordinate the initial communication with future employees, host orientation program & process new hire paperwork.
  • Verify I-9 documentation and maintain records to achieve compliance.
  • Submit background check requests for new hires through the background check vendor and track and record status.
  • Maintain the integrity and upkeep of the employee files to ensure confidentiality and accuracy for HR reporting. Liaise with internal parties to obtain necessary data to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Update Human Resource Information System (HRIS) & Costpoint records and compiles reports from database as needed.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews and audits of HRIS records to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Provide daily support to managers & employees. Communicate benefit/wellness and general informational updates to employees in support of key activities.
  • Process applicable employee status changes; Provide oral & written communication to various stakeholders.
  • Assist with various ad hoc HR reports and/or special company projects.


  • Must be detailed oriented - with strong attention to accuracy and problem solve.
  • Must take initiative; be customer-service oriented with ability to follow up, resolve and close all issues in a timely manner.
  • Professional level of confidentiality in handling employee information;
  • Ability to work independently and organize time effectively;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with employees and senior leaders.
  • Experience delivering orientation content to new employees.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of core HR policies and compliance standards.
  • Experience with case management, including follow-up to drive resolution.
  • Costpoint experience; Proficiency in MS office - with emphasis in Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • 2-3 years' relevant experience in a high-volume Human Resources environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; undergraduate degree or some course work preferred.
