Fundraising Development Manager needed for Non-Profit in NJ.

  • Works with: Development and Communications Teams on events and activities
  • Serves as a leader and member of the organization's development and fundraising team


  • Strong preference for a candidate with 5+ years of peer-to-peer nonprofit fundraising experience, event planning and/or volunteer management
  • Must have a relevant mix of education, background, and experience in the non-profit industry
  • Project management of multiple events
  • At least 3 years of experience with nonprofit fundraising software


  • Key role in the implementation of year-round fundraising programs
  • Assist in reaching the organizational revenue targets
  • Will be responsible for managing fundraising programs and local events
  • Recruitment, retention, and cultivation of corporate teams, top fundraisers, walkers, as well as executing the logistics of the event, including vendors and sponsors


  • Assist in the development of year-round fundraising plan and budget to meet revenue goals
  • Assist in management and execution of to meet revenue goals
  • Expected to meet fundraising goals and maintain budget
  • Support Development Director in the execution of fundraising programs and individual giving campaigns to drive revenue
  • Support securing and managing high dollar corporate sponsorships
  • Assist in the management of communication with key constituents which include top fundraisers, top team captains, sponsors, and volunteers.
  • Identify creative ways to motivate and interact with Team Captains and Participants to ensure retention year over year
    • Fundraising content include guides, event info and FAQs, etc.
  • Adhere to best practices and event timelines and drive accountability by the team
  • Ability to keep participants, donors, volunteers, and staff on track and motivated to reach revenue goals
  • Reporting to track revenue and expenses to maintain approved budget and revenue goals
  • Partner with staff to review expenses and make cost-effective vendor recommendations
  • Serve as the primary person with event sponsors, foundations and related organizations
  • Identify opportunities to increase sponsorship dollars; recruit new sponsors while maintaining and developing further relationships with existing sponsor
  • Manage all sponsor and foundation logistics including but not limited to event timelines and guidelines, deliverables from sponsors and foundations, and promotion of all events
  • Develop relationships to raise exposure and increase their involvement

Event Logistics:

  • Responsible for all logistics, both virtual and in person (before, during, after). This includes but is not limited to coordinating with all municipalities, venues, vendors, obtaining permits, entertainment, site plans, event maps, signage, supply distribution
  • Responsible for overseeing the strategy, management, and execution of logistics for volunteers and volunteer areas; will be working directly with volunteer leads
  • Pre- and Post-event preparation and debrief


  • Collaborate with staff regarding website, collaterals, and fundraising tools
  • Update fundraising and team related content for each event


  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Team leader and strong communicator with ability to share pertinent information across the team
  • Responsible for protecting and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of all data and proprietary information to which you have access
  • Provides leadership in building confidence and a strong working relationship between the community and The Organization
  • Maintain a working knowledge of The organization's mission and programs to promote the campaign fundraising initiatives
  • Maintains productive and collaborative relationships with all staff
  • Requirement for continuing education including conferences and webinars
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
