JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Program Manager
Specialty: Large-scale program launches of injection molded medical device assemblies
Position Purpose
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of new product introduction of large-scale programs. Willingness to be hands on the production floor, tool room or when needed to complete a task.
Key duties and responsibilities

  • Serve as a project team leader that will be responsible for providing assigned customers with front-line commercial and technical project engineering support including defining and documenting customer requirements, quoting, prioritizing workflow, and assisting in securing new business development opportunities. Responsibilities will include:
  • Creates, Manages and Maintains Schedule, Risk Assessments and Communication Plans for all new product introduction activities at facility.
  • Directs an Engineering team deliver production solutions that meet regulatory requirements, approach/exceed six-sigma capability, meet cost/delivery targets.
  • Experience procuring and validating robotics and automation for part handling, assembly, decorating and packaging of medical device components and sub-assemblies. Following GAMP guidelines for automation validation.
  • Statistical analysis understanding of capability analysis, process centering with design of experiments and utilizing SPC and real time process controls on injection molded parts.
  • Generating cost models with cross-functional buy-in and preparing formal quotations.
  • Serving as liaison between Engineering and Operations to review quotes, new business opportunities and to ensuring the organization responds to issues in a timely manner.
  • Assists with nurturing relationships with strategic customers.
  • Managing tool builds and supplying project timelines.
  • Issuing timely project updates using project management software.
  • Participating in continuous improvement teams for systems, procedures, and training.
  • Troubleshoot existing issues from process control and tooling to inspection.
  • All other duties as assigned



Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering from four-year college or university, or 5 to 7 years of related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
