Marketing Assistant needed for financial institution located in Ocean County, NJ

Marketing Assistant is to assist in the development, execution and management of the marketing processes used to generate business and provide professional financial services to customers. Marketing Assistant is responsible for upholding clients commitment to its customers; maintaining a high standard in customer service, and professional ethics.

Development of Marketing Materials

  • Work with the Marketing Manager and Vice President to develop marketing strategies
  • Assist Marketing Manager and Vice President in developing marketing materials
  • Submit marketing materials, ideas and proposals for review
  • Develop and amend materials and proposals to meet the standards and requests as communicated by the Marketing and Compliance departments
  • Order RFPs, quotes, proofs, and materials, as instructed
  • Complete promotional orders for offices such as business cards and other promotional collateral

Oversee Office Social Media Accounts
  • Manage social media presence and daily account activity (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Draft content with direction from the Marketing Manager, Vice President, and Home Office Marketing Team
  • Implement social media campaigns and monitor trends, applications, and emerging platforms
  • Engage in dialogues within accounts and online spaces and serve as a liaison with customer base

Manage Business Relationships
  • Initiate prospective business relationships
  • Assist Marketing Manager and Vice President in maintaining established relationships, not limited to attending community and industry events
  • Research and qualify new business leads
  • Special projects as dictated by management

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Efficient in time-management and ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences
  • Experience in public relations, marketing or sales is a plus
  • Technological savvy and comfortable in learning new computer systems and programs
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong creative skills and attention to detail

Education, Training & Experience
  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred
  • Social Media knowledge a must
  • Any mortgage/sales experience would be a plus
  • Background in creative fields such as Communication, Marketing, PR or Graphic Arts required
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) not required, but would be a plus
