Job Description

Duties include:
• Manage benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, 401(k), vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance
• Partner with payroll to assure benefit deductions begin and end properly
• Accurately audit and reconcile monthly benefit invoices and report/correct variances and discrepancies
• Support benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communication of benefit information to employees
• Process personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
• Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars
• Create ad-hoc reports for managers and directors as requested, as well as routine status reports
• Assist the HR Manager/Director with various administrative duties
• Work with a variety of people and foster positive working relationship
• Consistently exhibit good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and reliability
• Develop and manage new hire orientation and onboarding as well as the termination process
• Manage all aspects of documentation for new employee
• Respond to employment inquiries
• Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
• Assist with the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization
• Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation
• Prepare onboarding documents/files and process newly hired employees

•Experience with Deltek CostPoint and ADP Workforce Now is required.
•HR certifications are a plus.
•Collaborative and directive leadership skills with trust being the most important skill
•Strong organizational abilities with an ability to develop and establish record and file keeping procedures
•Demonstrated proficiency on all Microsoft Office applications as well as the ability to quickly learn and utilize various corporate or computer-based applications as required.
•Ability to multi-task daily and handle project-driven requirements
•Minimum of Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred
•Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Human Resources field is required; 5 plus years of experience preferred.
•Federal government contractor HR experience is required.
