Job Description

Calling all Customer Service Specialists! Staffing Now is excited to be working again with one of our best clients, a leading Safety Equipment Manufacturer based in the Northbrook area. They are looking for a Customer Service Specialist for a 3-month contract to cover a medical leave.

The duties are as you'd expect - the Customer Service Specialist receives incoming calls, writes up orders on the company portal, document customer feedback and help out the company's field service team as needed.

Besides offering a solid contract, the company makes excellent gear, has a modern facility and is a huge proponent of green tech initiatives (you'll see electric car charging stations in the parking lot and solar panels on the roof for starters!). Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Customer Service Specialist include:
1. Processing incoming customer purchase orders, whether received by telephone, fax, e-mail, web portal or mail
2. Fielding incoming customer telephone calls to assist customers with placing orders, tracing shipments, and providing product information
3. Handle issues, questions and follow-ups for customers
4. Supporting the field sales force as needed by entering quotations and updating customer data
5. Developing new business opportunities with existing customers as time and opportunities permit
