Job Description



Our client, a growing and dynamic company in the Trenton area is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist, This position would be responsible for working with multiple business segments within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the full cycle Accounts Payable process
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of data into SAP B1 system, including proper G/L coding as it relates to GAAP accounting
  • Responsible for tracking the 3-way match for Purchase Orders
  • Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on any discrepancies
  • Process monthly A/P closing and maintain necessary reports including A/P Aging and reconciliation of G/L accounts to subsidiary ledgers
  • Maintain all Accounts Payable files in accordance with Corporate Policy
  • Manage all vendor payments for multiple subsidiary companies (check, ACH, wire)
  • Review and record the corporate credit card accounts and expense reports via Expensify
  • Assist in requests from Auditors and Tax accountants
  • Responsible for vendor 1099 filings and year-end reporting requirements
  • International payments with an understanding of foreign currencies and exchange rates
  • Work with dedicated teams to help enhance the operations of Accounts Payable
  • Create routine operational and ad hoc reports as required
  • Additional requests as assigned by management

Required Skills
  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of general ledger software, SAP Business One a plus
  • Microsoft Office proficient, strong Excel skills
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work with offices in different geographic regions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
