Air Export Agent
You will represent our client while working as an implant at one of their clients and handle all phases of forwarding for this client.
I. Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Handling all shipments from Client warehouse to domestic and international destinations in accordance with current regulations
  • Quoting and handling direct shipments from Client's US suppliers to domestic and international destinations, in accordance with current regulations
  • Overseeing preparation for all consolidation shipments with other employees, per the SOP for Receiving Operations
  • Opening and Repackaging shipments to confirm there are no discrepancies between freight and original documents
  • Ensure quality control by following discrepancy procedures with shipments that have faults, are damaged, or are otherwise erroneous
  • Sending relevant documents (invoices, shipping manifests, etc.) to the appropriate individuals
  • Creating paperwork (manifest, commercial invoice, packing list, certs, etc.) in accordance with current regulations and customer specifications
  • Engaging in direct negotiations with Couriers, Truckers, and Airlines as needed
  • Updating supplier codes for domestic and international suppliers
  • Organizing the shipments in their proper places in the warehouse
  • Following service and performance requirements listed in the Letter of Agreement between the two companies
  • Providing the highest level of service by working closely in good cooperation with Client's staff
  • Assisting the Clients' staff when possible on spot tasks as defined by Client
  • Maintaining TSA certification and training
  • Overseeing other staff at Teterboro
  • Using industry-standard program (CargoWise) to process shipments
  • Using Client's operations program(s) as needed to process shipments
  • Ordering supplies as needed
  • Maintaining and updating SOPs on a yearly basis and as needed
