Accounting Clerk

SNI Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and coachable Accounting Clerk with a focus on Accounts Receivable to join our on-site team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles who is eager to learn, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and works well under the guidance of an AR Team Lead.

The right candidate will bring expert-level Excel skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong sense of ownership when it comes to financial accuracy.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and issuing accurate client invoices in compliance with company policies and revenue timelines.
  • Support the AR team by maintaining detailed records of accounts receivable, tracking payments, credits, and outstanding balances.
  • Perform daily cash applications, recording deposits and properly allocating customer payments.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies, follow up on overdue balances, and handle inquiries professionally.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and support accurate reporting.
  • Help prepare and maintain lien documentation as needed.
  • Generate and review aging reports; escalate findings and trends to AR Team Lead.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support process improvements in billing and collections.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial documentation.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial projects and reporting tasks as directed.


Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, billing, or AR roles.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (coursework or practical experience).
  • Highly coachable and able to take direction from team leads.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, advanced formulas, data analysis, and automation with macros).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Foundation, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
