Accounting Supervisor

SNI Companies is a staffing agency hiring an experienced Accounting Supervisor for a well known tool company.

Position Overview:
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee our accounting team and ensure the integrity of financial information by establishing accounting policies and procedures, managing financial transactions, and coordinating financial audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, leadership skills, and the ability to optimize accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
-Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
-Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
-Manage and oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
-Review and approve journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.
-Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
-Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
-Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate and timely financial reports or statements.
-Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
-Mentor and train accounting staff to ensure efficient operation of the department.
-Provide leadership and support to accounting team members.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
-CPA certification strongly preferred.
-Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting or financial management roles.
-Previous experience in a supervisory role or demonstrated leadership abilities.
-In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel) and Sage.
-Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
