Business Controller
Regional Business Controller
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (on-site)
SNI Companies client in the industrial services industry is seeking a Regional Business Controller to oversee East Coast operations. Reporting to the CFO, this role is central to post-merger integration, financial reporting, and strategic growth initiatives.
The position requires a leader who can ensure accurate financials, strengthen systems, and connect finance with operations, while also delivering forward-looking analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Oversee financial results for East Coast business units, including full accountability for accuracy of profit and loss reporting, balance sheet integrity, and compliance with investor expectations.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, producing clear reports that highlight risks and opportunities.
- Deliver recommendations to management on cost control, margin improvement, and resource allocation.
- Design and implement financial processes that support expansion and post-merger integration.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide data-driven insight for investment and operational decisions.
- Support executive-level communication by preparing board presentations and investor updates.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, and corporate finance teams to align financial results with strategic goals.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years in finance or accounting roles with direct experience in FP&A or controller positions.
- Prior involvement in private equity–owned companies, with exposure to investor reporting standards.
- Experience in industries such as marine, defense, power generation, or heavy industrial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business; advanced degree or certifications (CPA, CFA, CMA) are preferred.
- Proven ability to improve financial performance through cost reduction, process improvements, and margin optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and financial modeling capabilities.
- Excellent communicator, comfortable presenting to senior executives and board members.
- Ability to perform in dynamic, high-pressure, post-merger environments.
- Exposure to managing finances across multiple entities and geographic locations.
- Background in preparing board-level and investor materials.
- Familiarity with ERP and business intelligence platforms such as Dynamics, Infor, or Power BI.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to establish structure in evolving organizations.
