Buyer
Our manufacturing client is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support production through effective procurement and supplier management. This role ensures timely sourcing of materials, components, and services while collaborating across internal teams and supporting supply chain stability.
Key Responsibilities:

Source and acquire raw materials, components, and external services aligned with production timelines.

Prepare and track purchase orders from initiation through final delivery.

Lead negotiations on pricing, delivery schedules, and vendor terms.

Cultivate vendor relationships and develop secondary supply options to reduce risk.

Collaborate across departments—planning, engineering, production, quality, and finance—for purchasing alignment.

Oversee inventory metrics to balance availability and minimize overstock.

Address vendor issues proactively and support audits and corrective action plans.

Ensure purchasing records are accurate and assist in resolving billing discrepancies.
Preferred Background:
-
Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).

At least 2-3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing setting.

Proficiency with ERP/MRP platforms and MS Office Suite.
-
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills.
-
Experience with compliance standards in ISO and ITAR is strongly preferred.

Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
