Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist - Direct Hire in Manchester NH 75-80k 830-5pm Onsite
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist will support payroll and related accounting functions for the Firm. The ideal candidate should be an individual that is a team player, enjoys a fast-paced environment, the ability to multi-task, trouble-shoot, navigate change well and maintain a positive attitude. The position will be based in the firm’s Manchester, NH office. Responsibilities*: ? Process bi-weekly and monthly Payroll ? Track and administer PTO (Paid Time Off) per firm policy ? Work with the Human Resource department to manage payroll deductions for benefit plans and assist with reporting. ? Maintain a high degree of confidentiality ? Upload 401(k) deferral files ? Support 401(k) testing, reporting and calculations for employee matching contributions. ? Assist with payroll related budgets and compensation reporting ? Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and reporting ? Assist with journal entries and maintain accurate financial records ? Manage monthly expense account review/analysis ? Prepare monthly bank reconciliations ? Prepare monthly profit and loss statement for subsidiary ? Assist with on-going technology changes ? Support the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager with special projects, such as the annual forecast and budgeting process for salaries and various expense accounts * Note: This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, duties requirements, efforts or working conditions associated with the job. Ability to multi-task and meet daily/monthly/annual deadlines ? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written ? Proficient with Microsoft office products (Excel and Word) ? Solid data entry, spreadsheet management and computer skills
