Perform a variety of routine and complex document preparation duties involving the drafting of complaints, lis pendens and assignments of mortgage in support of high-volume foreclosure practice of law firm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, simple mail processing; full title examination, data entry for title related items, preparation of complaints, lis pendens, assignments of mortgage and associated documentation; updating vendors or clients with case status and title related issues; updating Perfect Practice with corresponding information.


  • Vendor Programs: Enter/ update / reproject pertinent information using various software programs which include Vendorscape, Lenstar, NewTrak a/k/a LPS,Clarifire, Webdirect, Tempo, NDS and Perfect Practice. Uploading, importing and exporting title product and intake related documents within these programs.
  • Document Production and Processing: Prepare and process routine to complex legal pleadings, and correspondence through computer-generated forms relating to complaints, lis pendens and assignments of mortgage. Examine public records and other sources to complete full title search and abstract documents relative to the foreclosure process. Identify appropriate parties and potential title issues prior to complaint drafting, entering corresponding information in to Perfect Practice. File court documents electronically. Update Vendors/Clients with information pertaining to title related issues through websites/emails. Check work for accuracy to avoid problems in subsequent steps. Correct mistakes, including those of other team members', when observed or bring to attention of supervisor. Completing compliance documents as mandated by individual counties.

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of Title Examination experience required


  • Computers and Software - Intermediate knowledge of commonly used business software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Corel WordPerfect; PDF files and electronic documents; Windows operating system and common PC computing tasks.
