How AWESOME are you at handling payroll tax reporting and requirements for Qualified Settlement Funds? Pretty Awesome, you say? Well we have the job for you. SNI has partnered with a multi-state firm that manages processing for complex regulatory and legal compliance programs. This is a Contract To Hire job.

Here's who we are looking for:

* High School Diploma required. Degree in business, accounting or closely related field or related experience.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience processing multi-state corporate payroll; in-house processing experienced preferred.
* 2 years' experience completing multi-state corporate payroll related tax filings.
* Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred but not required.
* Demonstrates solid written and oral communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to interface with both internal and external customers.
* Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot problems in a timely manner.
* Demonstrates required numeracy skills and the ability to perform reconciliations and analyze/manipulate data sets.
* Customer focused and demonstrates dedication to producing quality error-free work.
* Demonstrates ability to consistently produce accurate results within restricted time constraints.
* Shows meticulous attention to detail -extremely organized with project management skills.
* Desire to continuously improve processes based upon evolving business needs.
* Acts professionally. Demonstrates a high level of integrity and discretion when dealing with sensitive, confidential information.
* High proficiency with sensitive, confidential information.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated ability to manipulate data with Excel.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Here's the Job:

* Applies for federal and state tax ID numbers and corresponds with state tax authorities related to employment tax rates.
* Prepares and files employment tax returns on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
(940/941/945 and State Withholding/Unemployment), files annual returns
associated with Qualified Settlement Funds (1120-SF) and issues 1099s and W2s.
* Analyzes, interprets and manipulates data extracts for payroll filings.
* Reviews Settlement Agreements, Final Approval Orders &other court related documents in order to ensure that distribution calculations are accurate and that
we are adhering to all tax related requirements that are outlined by the court.
* Prepares and handles the reporting of unclaimed property (Escheats).
* Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
