Medical Scheduling Coordinator needed for client in Bordentown, NJ
- Determine the need for clinical staff members and arrange for personnel to be present for each shift
- Organize and create schedules for all staff members and ensure that they work accordingly
- Create and maintain daily staffing reports to verify staff members' work hours, time off and inconsistencies in work
- Report any inconsistencies to the Wellness Director and Human Resources; or open job positions to the Corporate Recruiting Director to ensure that hiring is done in time
- Assist the Human Resource Department in interviewing, hiring and training new employees
- Provide assistance in orienting new employees to the assisted living, particularly in understanding and adhering to policy and procedure
- Conduct license and certification checks on both new and existing employees to ensure that all staff credentials are up to date
- Assist Payroll Manager to verify payroll accuracy by providing her with accurate attendance information
- Process employee vacation requests and ensure that substitutes are available to fill in
- Consult with Wellness Director to ensure that staffing needs are fulfilled, before a staff crisis arises
- Monitor overtime and attendance of employees
- Track and document all in service training sessions
- Secure coverage for any vacancies
- Contact staff regarding day-to-day changes
- Prepares and distributes daily assignment sheets
- Performs general office duties including but not limited to word processing, photocopies, files, shreds, sort/distributes mail, provides back up reception and telephone services
- Qualifications:
- MUST be a CNA with current New Jersey certification - Not applicable for Non-CNA
- Minimum 5 Years' Experience with 2 years of Scheduling
- Must have knowledge of geriatric care needs & care coordination.
- Knowledge of NJ Assisted Living Regulations pertaining to Resident Health Services preferred.
- Experience in Assisted Living, Home Health Care or Long-Term Care a plus
- CPR certification required.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Motivated to work and grow with a senior population
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
