Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Function

  • Responsible for entering and/or reviewing incoming orders on a computer system, checking that product numbers, inventory, discounts and prices are accurate
  • Other duties include price quotations, updating customer records and communicating details of orders, inquiries and deliveries to customers or regional sales managers.
  • Communicates with internal salesman and external customers via phone or e-mail
  • Composes emails to either the Salesman or customer's directly
  • Research a variety of issues either addressed by the customer, Sales Manager or the Accounting Department
  • Ability to analyze reports and provide details and/or submit the necessary changes
  • Acts as a liaison between Regional Sales Manager and other internal business units

Qualification Requirements:
Education and Work Experience
* Associates Degree and 2 years administrative / sales support experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Word
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate most standard office equipment
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills
  • Ability to rely on experience, judgement and independent thinking skills to plan, prioritize and accomplish goals
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance during regularly scheduled office hours
