Job Description

Administrative Purchasing Associate - needed for college in the area.

This position shares responsibility for buying and paying activities as well as travel and expense processing and approvals. This position will be responsible for managing the workflow of requisition requests for purchase orders by obtaining necessary documentation and approvals as well as submitting requests to add/update vendors, process MarketPlace carts, and initiate requests for non-catalog/special requests through the electronic systems.

  • Knowledge of general purchasing, travel and expense policies, processes and procedures
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task
  • Has good judgment and decision making skills
  • Proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position including but not limited to Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse population

Preferred qualifications (not required)

  • Knowledge of purchasing tasks including requisition creation, receiving, match-exception procedures, large and small ordering capability
  • Knowledge of Concur, the electronic travel expense processing system, or similar electronic expense system

ASAP - 8:45 - 5:00pm, 36.25 hours per week.
