Job Description

The Production Managers primary objectives are as follows:

  • This role is expected to be able to prioritize and focus will be on shop-floor process management spending 70% of the working day in the manufacturing process.
  • Personnel Development: Production Supervisors and Direct Labor Personnel will be directly reporting to the Production Manager who will be responsible for the appraisal process and team development plans for their team.
  • This role will ensure that product quality is of highest standards, and will manage the production process in a controlled and documented (procedural) methodology.
  • This role is responsible for delivering the agreed outputs (revenue and number of articles produced) monthly.


Leadership & Teambuilding

  • This role is responsible for analysing the production process, people needs, setting priorities and goals to achieve and motivate the production team.
  • This role is expected to be in the factory processes for at least 70% of his/her working day.
  • Daily management of production demand planning, resources, key issues, etc.
  • People management and development.

Planning, Labor, and Capacity

  • This role runs the daily production review meetings and coordinates with the Master Scheduler production activities.
  • This role is responsible for ensuring accurate data is updated by Supervisors, and any delay in production to schedule is reported and acknowledged by the Master Scheduler.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years' experience of manufacturing industry ideally with composite materials from a batch manufacturing process.
  • Direct people Management experience of large work forces and unionized an advantage.
  • Ability to understand P&L and Cash implications of manufacturing actions & decisions.
