Inventory Controls Clerk Job

We just got in a new role with a long standing manufacturing client in Northwest Houston in search of an Inventory Controls Specialist. This will be an exciting, hands-on and challenging role working to Monitor stock outs and oversee all aspects of inventory management processes.

Pay for this position is $13/hr
Position: Inventory Controls Clerk
Salary Range: $13/hour
Duration: Contract-to-Hire
Location: 77040
Work Schedule: M - F : 8 am - 5 PM


  • Support and enforce Inventory Policy and inventory review specific to assigned Region/locations.
  • Work with counterparts in other functional areas such as Sales, Operations, Product Management, and Warehouse personnel to ensure alignment of activities and objectives.
  • Asses and make recommendations for location specific inventory levels, reorder points, and replenishment methods and new stocking opportunities.
  • Monitor stock outs and take appropriate steps to correct. Make recommendations to proactively avoid future outages.
  • Oversee all aspects of sound inventory management practices. Utilize available tools to assist assigned locations with sound inventory management practices, identifying opportunities to return obsolete inventory.
  • Proactively look for erroneous and/or out of date information in the database. Take appropriate action to correct the data and keep it current.
  • Assist with project work as required.


  • Strong problem solver, able to create solutions to challenges in an expedient manner.
  • Intermediate to advanced EXCEL skills
  • Effective communicator (both verbal and written)

Pay Rate: $13/hour
