Job Description


Our client in Downtown Fort Worth is in immediate need of an HR Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of policies and programs covering several or all of the following: recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety and personnel research.

Responsibilities:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills; including oral and written communications, listening, and presentation/facilitation skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to effectively set priorities and manage a high volume of activities in a flexible manner
  • Manage resolution of complex employee relations issues by providing appropriate investigation and counseling leadership
  • Partner with the managers to drive comprehensive human resources strategies, policies and practices in the areas of employee relations, talent management, compensation, diversity, benefits, training and workforce planning
  • FMLA Leave Management
  • Process New Hire Reports
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screens and driving records checks
  • Reconcile and submit invoices from Agencies/Recruiters
  • Respond to Claims for Unemployment Benefits
  • Oversee employee relations matters by ensuring supervisors and managers demonstrate the ability to handle employee disputes, performance improvement actions and disciplinary actions
  • Assure compliance with all Federal, State, and local employment and labor laws
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and corporate guidelines



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources
  • Minimum of FIVE (5) years of experience at a generalist level
  • PHR and SHRM are a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication, organizational, training and negotiating skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with employees from senior management to front-line
  • High intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook is a must
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
