HR Assistant - Job Summary

The HR Assistant will provide outstanding care to associates for superior satisfaction. If you are exceptionally customer-focused and enjoy handling HR funcitions such as, Benefit and Payroll needs this position is for you! The person hired for this role would function as primary support for all disciplines of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and resolve associate/manager issues/inquiries.
  • Build relationships and trust through positive communication.
  • Handle large volume of contacts, working in all HR Systems, to manage the HR Services administration processes.
  • Resolve issues within a reasonable timeframe, typically 24 business hours or less.
  • Create requisitions/job postings, move applicants/candidates through process, close out requisitions when role is filled
  • Facilitate and monitor background checks
  • Respond to inquires from managers
  • Complete Unemployment claims
  • Communicate and apply all HR policies/procedures including the unemployment process in order to inform associates/managers of their responsibilities and opportunities
  • Process HR transactions into PeopleSoft and make accurate corrections to the database of employee records.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or its equivalent
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
