Job Description


We are looking to hire an HR Assistant for our client in Tewksbury. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for performing diversified administrative support to one or more areas within Human Resources, with primary focus on recruiting administration. This is a 3-6 month temporary position, possibly longer-term.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Provide administrative assistance to Human Resources staff
*Processing new hire paperwork including assigning employee numbers, compliance with I-9 documents, data entry into HRIS system and account set up
*Primary contact with vendor for background investigations to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company policies
*Reporting responsibilities include new hire and termination reports
*Maintain personnel records to ensure compliance with document retention
*Correspond with internal/external clients and responds to routine inquiries
*Provide assistance with HR projects
Qualifications
*Typically requires high school diploma and 1-3 years of relevant experience
*Onboarding experience preferred
*Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, up to 8 hours per day
*Ability to talk on the phone for prolonged periods of time
*Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Excellent customer service and organizational skills are a must
*Previous experience with an HRIS system is a plus
