Entry Level Position Supporting Grant Department - Oracle Experience Required!
Description
Essential Job Functions:
• Organize and maintain electronic and paper files of grant documents and resources.
• Serves as the primary team member in Grants Management entering grant funding (data entry) into Oracle Financial System.
• Works primarily with Grants Management team and consultants to remediate, resolve and troubleshoot issues with the Oracle Financial System.
• Produce reports including grant activity reports, payout reports, and other reports as needed for the Capital Programming & Grants Manager and program teams.
• Support Grants Managers with administrative tasks related to compliance, reviewing grant documents, and mailing/delivery of grant agreements.
• Duties will be performed that are grant specific and responsibilities will vary according to requirements of the particular federal/state sources providing the funds.
• Work to enhance and improve grants management processes and increase efficiencies.
• Performs research on special topics, projects, problems and compiles data on findings for review.
• Performs related work and other duties, as assigned.
Compliance:
• Responsible for completing all mandatory training classes.
• Responsible for reviewing and complying with all company policies, procedures and directives.
Job Requirements
Required/ Preferred Experience:
A High School Diploma or the equivalent and a minimum of two years' experience in administrative, clerical and project support work that demonstrates knowledge of administrative functions and skill in office operations. A degree in a related field with prior grants training or experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to learn the procedures, functions and specialized terminology of departments to which assigned.
• Experienced and comfortable working with numbers and in databases.
• Working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and general mathematics.

  • Recent experience in Oracle V. 12 or similar ERP or the ability to learn and utilize.


• Ability to use Microsoft Office products with emphasis on and Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Ability to follow office practices, procedures and etiquette.
• Ability to use good judgment in making decisions in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ability to multitask and maintain focus on deadlines to variety of staff and consultants.
• Ability to meet deadlines, giving strict attention to details and accuracy.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization.
• Communicates with co-workers, management, customers and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Strong document management skills
• Excellent time management skills, aptitude for proper task prioritization, and a results-oriented work process
Physical Demands:
• Sit and or stand for prolonged periods.
