SNI is seeking to hire 2 PT Driver Recruiters that have Transportation Industry experience. This person will be limited to 28 hours per week. There is no overtime. However, there is a PT headcount for the person to become permanent should they work out. The Employment Coordinator pay rate range is between $15-$16/hr. Position is Monday through Thursday from 8-2 and Fridays are short days.
- Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of various employment laws and practices, including Fair Labor Standards, Equal Employment Opportunity, and possibly Union Transportation experience.
- Broad knowledge of the hiring process.
- Familiarity of Drug & Alcohol referral process.
- Familiarity of Background Screen process.
- Familiarity of the New Hire Orientation process.
- Must be experienced in Microsoft Office and have familiarity in Human Resources Information systems.
- Must be extremely organized and able to prioritize work assignments.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet deadlines, giving strict attention to details and accuracy
- Ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels within the organization as well as the public.
- Conducts recruitment efforts for all non-exempt entry-level personnel.
- Schedules and conducts interviews for openings with hiring managers.
- Posts/advertises all internal job positions through the use of job boards.
- Processes contingent offers of employment, as well as rejection notifications.
- Works with Training Department to schedule and conduct new employee orientations.
- Recommends and coordinates community outreach recruitment opportunities for the company with appropriate external resources.
- Assists the Employment Specialist with completing background check, drug screening, and/or physicals for all job offers. Reviews results with supervisor.
- Assists the Employment Specialist with completing internal helpdesk tickets for new employee setup - computer, office etc.
- Assists the Employment Specialist in review of applications/resumes to determine the most qualified applicants for positions.
- Assists, as needed, in maintaining all EEO/Affirmative action related information for reporting purposes.
- Assists with maintenance of all appropriate employment-related information in employee files.
- Assists, as needed, in development/maintenance of job descriptions.
- Conducts exit interviews for departing employees as needed.
- Cross trains and assists other HR staff with general department work as needed.
- Participates in the completion of larger HR projects as needed.
