DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL SALES ADMINISTRATION needed in the surrounding Hartford, CT area.
SALARY- $155,00-185,000
BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Management, or equivalent is required. MBA is desirable.
EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
5-10 years sales/management experience required, preferably within the Defense / firearms industry. Minimum 3 years export experience needed. Good working knowledge of U.S. export/import licensing regulations including, but not limited to, Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Familiar with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Understanding of Contracts, Letters of Credits, Incoterms, and Freight Logistics. Ability to work closely with internal departments (i.e. Operations, Shipping, Customer Service, etc.) to coordinate key initiatives in support of exceeding customer and company objectives. Ability to support execution of all aspects of the life cycle of sales, including:

  • Administration of sales pipeline,
  • Preparing sales forecast reports,
  • Preparing sales proposals and quotations,
  • Processing sales orders,
  • Coordinate Production Planning,
  • Prepare Export documentation,
  • Coordinate with Compliance Team for vetting export licenses,
  • Tracking export license approval status,
  • Coordinating logistics and freight, and
  • Tracking invoices and payments



Requires excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms. Diversified experience in sales administration, order management, and project proposals, in International/Government sales. Ability to work with foreign customers, cultures and customs. Requires advanced capabilities with Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
Reports to the Senior Vice President, Government, Military and International Programs.
