Job Description

Customer Service/ Order Entry Clerk

A large and well known manufacturer in the Mid-cities area is looking for a talented customer service representative/ order entry clerk to join it's team for a 6 week project. This position does have potential to transition into a longer assignment and is a great foot-in-the-door for the right candidate.

Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Pay: $16 per hour

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming orders accurately, including ensuring proper pricing, discounts, cancel dates and ship to addresses
  • Communicate with other functional areas to maintain customer on time standards
  • Process RMA's for damages, shortage and returns
  • Answer incoming phone call from customer, sales reps and internal departments
  • Work daily reports to confirm orders are moving through the system and ship as scheduled
  • Communicate with customers on pricing, out of stocks, shipments dates, etc.
  • Customer relationship building by proactively advising of any issues, soliciting feedback and check-in calls
  • Review and analyze customer's scorecards and report finding to management and internal departments, highlighting areas of improvement by department.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Provide quality Customer Service to our internal as well as external customers
  • Strong Excel experience and knowledge of Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Deadline oriented and good organization skills.
  • Consistent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to change and learn new processes quickly and the ability to work in a team environment.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training in customer service and/or order entry.
  • Experience with customer chargebacks.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and other employees of the organization.
  • A team player who helps colleagues in a positive manner to achieve department team goals.
  • Experience in Oracle is preferred but not required.
