Job responsibilities:

  • Track and update shipment status
  • Communicate service issues with customers while keeping management informed
  • Maintain internal customer profiles and relevant customer information
  • Work with vendors, agents and carriers to provide services required/requested
  • Work with other company stations to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Quote customers
  • Route shipments via ground and air as needed
  • Create shipping documents
  • Answer customers' questions via phone and email


Job Requirements:

  • Must have excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A self-motivated, fast learner with a positive attitude is a must. The ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced team environment is also required.
  • Geographical knowledge and use of military time is preferred.


Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience in a call center or domestic freight forwarding/logistics as a Customer Service/Operations Agent would be preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook is required
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent attendance
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Motivated to learn new tasks
