Job Description

30 year old design-build firm in the North Tampa area looking for professional Construction Office Coordinator.

As a construction coordinator, an individual will be expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of multiple projects, administer strategic project planning and scheduling, and offer technical support to field construction operations to maximize construction efficiency.

Position Description: Position requires the setup of a project after the sale through design, purchasing, construction, and close out; including direct contact and constant interaction with office construction team, vendors, local jurisdictions (per need), field foreman and various field crews. Tasks include but are not limited to: processing large quantity material take-offs, material & equipment estimates, high demand of purchase orders, and change orders; coordinating equipment rentals, travel arrangements, significant amounts of purchasing, shipping, and negotiations with vendors; and maintenance of official records, status reports, and budgets.

Qualified Candidates considered should possess:

  • 2+ years Project management experience in construction field.
  • Engineering mindset and advanced ability with numbers a must.
  • Ability to balance budgets, administer high quantity material take-offs, and regularly negotiate/estimate multiple projects, simultaneously.
  • Enthusiastic involvement in all aspects of the Design/Build process, including review of sales & design packages (shop drawings, blue prints, etc.), utilization of CAD program as needed, and accurate review & estimation high construction quantities (take-offs).
  • Excels at prioritizing and completing multiple tasks concurrently.
