Our client, an engineering firm in the Princeton area, has an immediate opening for a Coastal Engineer.

Job Description: Professional Engineer preferred with experience in the evaluation, design, and construction inspection of dredging and coastal structures including waterways, channels, bulkheads, docks, sea walls, jetties, inlets. Experience in the preparation of construction bid documents, bathymetric surveying, dredge material sampling/characterization, state & federal project permit beneficial. Work locations; New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performing field investigations
• Preparing engineering calculations and design of dredging and marine structures
• Preparing cost estimates
• Preparing bid specifications
• Performing construction inspection
• Preparing regulatory permit applications
• Identifying bathymetry and bottom sampling requirements

Qualifications (Education and Experience):

• Must be a person of integrity
• Must be organized, motivated, and reliable
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to obtain government clearance
• Must pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Boating experience and Boating Safety Certificate a plus
• CADD, GIS, sediment transport modelling capability a plus
