Staffing Now has a great opportunity for an experienced mortgage closer with one of our top clients. We are one of the fastest growing staffing agencies in the U.S specializing in matching quality professionals with the right career opportunities. We are looking for a detail oriented professional to manage Closing of Sales and Sales Contracts.
  • Reviews sales contracts for completeness and accuracy then executes and distributes the final contract.
  • Responsible for timely closing of homes as scheduled; assisted by a Closing Coordinator the Backlog Manager shall be responsible for the quality, performance and production of the Closing Coordinator to achieve closing objectives.
  • Track contracts and cancellations in KOVA (Homebuilding/accounting Software); captures accurate reasons for cancellation.
  • Tracks using Excel price comps by plan by community using current appraisal information; maintains listings in MLS that support appropriate appraisal valuation. Uses current appraisals and closings to provide appraisers accurate information to support sales prices
  • Accountable for meeting monthly starts targets by accelerating backlog through the process in timely manner according to company goals.
  • Always is looking for ways to compress time from Sold to Start and Completion to Close. Keeps reports that monitors backlog turn times through the process.
  • Holds Lender's accountable to meet company guidelines on loan apps, credit approvals, appraisals, and Closing on Time.
  • Monitors and Maintains database of contract data; informs management of the quality of the existing backlog and makes recommendation on backlog that should be cancelled.
  • Keeps management informed by providing actual Closing vs. projection results by preparing and distributing reports and by verbal communication daily.

  • 5 years of related work experience (home building, mortgage processing, mortgage underwriting, mortgage loan closing).

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge and experience with KOVA software system preferred.

  • Experience with Title Company HUD statements desired.
