Job Description


Our client, a manufacturer of office supplies in Edison, has an exciting opportunity for a Channel Marketing Manager. This company is considered a great company to work for by their employees.
The Channel Marketing Manager will develop, lead, implement and analyze marketing strategy for an assigned channel of business. The Channel Marketing Manager will collaborate and serve as a liaison between designated Sales Managers and Operations with the responsibility of facilitating and managing the execution of channel/customer specific projects, including but not limited to the development of special product packages and merchandising vehicles.
The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of such projects and ensuring that they adhere to the brand guidelines established by the Marketing Department; ensure that projects/product executions adhere to company profitability guidelines; and that all projects are properly communicated to the Operations Department with a clear understanding of timelines and process.
The Channel Marketing Manager should function as the lead in connecting the initiatives of marketing and the needs of customers. The Channel Marketing Manager will provide the proper support to sales in the collaborative development of go to market/customer presentation strategy.
The Channel Marketing Manager has responsibility for enhanced analysis and insight of market data, POS (point-of-sale) data and internal sales data to deliver market insights and establish the client as a channel/category expert is required. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Analysis and Reporting


  • Analyze syndicated data from NPD, account POS and literal sales to evaluate campaign and promotional success and market trends
  • Act as organizational marketing channel expert and the go-to person for all marketing related questions for the assigned channel.
  • Work with Creative to develop Marketing Materials, Packaging, Advertisements, and sell sheet, etc.
  • Organize special events and other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing.


  • Strategy and Implementation


  • Create innovative channel marketing strategies with careful consideration of segmentation, pace, and sequencing of communications in alignment with organizational, departmental and customer goals.
  • Effectively use analytics to develop, manage and optimize channel strategy for product and promotion.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors and organizational stakeholders in the development and execution of customer specific projects.
  • Analyze customer profitability reports to assess and direct strategies for improvement.
  • Participate in multi-channel marketing campaigns as required.


  • Research and Planning


  • Research and stay up to date on competitive landscape of marketing campaign techniques for the channel to leverage industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with sales to develop appropriate metrics to measure channel campaign success factors and report findings on a regular basis.
  • Schedule and lead required meetings in order to develop channel/customer strategies ensuring the inclusion of appropriate personnel resources.
