Job Description


Job summary: The primary duty of the Capacity Coordinator is to utilize relationships with prospective carriers to generate repeat sales, maximize HTS margins and aid in booking all teams freight with quality. Additionally, the Capacity Coordinator will be expected to support and compliment the Capacity Manager when needed.
Essential Functions of the Job:


  • Manage and build carrier base via multiple methods based on the HTS SOP
  • Utilize multiple methods of available load broadcasts / postings
  • Negotiate contract and spot lanes with carriers
  • Maintain consistent number of "booked by" as determined by Capacity Manager
  • Exhibit mediation skills to solve carrier related problems


  • Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:


  • Mastery of all functions and expectations of the Dispatch position
  • Ability to work as a team through stressful situations
  • Mediation and crisis resolution skills a must
  • Quality control of booked freight and responsible communication


  • Requirements:
    1 year experience in Transportation and Logistics, to include direct carrier sales
    Proven track record of increasing productivity in the field
    Documented history of quality and quantity
    Report-to for the Job:
    The Capacity Coordinator position will report directly to the Capacity Manager.
