Job Description

There are two openings for a Cable Assembler role, located in Sunrise FL.
General Description:
Builds cables, standard and custom, by assembling parts and sub-assemblies while focusing on
Hours: Monday through Friday (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $15

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing
  • specifications, wiring diagrams and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials
  • Positions cables, parts and subassemblies by using fixtures when needed
  • Interprets assembly instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams and parts lists
  • Assembles cables by cutting, stripping, tinning, crimping, soldering, encapsulating and fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Resolves assembly problems by notifying the Production Manager to obtain additional resources
  • Injection molds cable assemblies
  • Produces labels and packaging for completed orders
  • Modifies parts using basic hand and electrical tools
  • Inspects and tests finished assemblies
  • Writes procedures using Microsoft Word
  • Collects test data using Microsoft Excel
  • Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; notifying supervisor to call for repairs
  • Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; notifies supervisor when stock levels are low
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies only as needed to accomplish job results
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Works amicably in a diverse team environment

Work Environment:

  • Business office, warehouse and manufacturing environment
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires sitting for more than six (6) hours per day and handling of average-weight objects up to 35 pounds
  • Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks such as climbing steps or ladders, operating equipment or working with chemicals
  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as fluctuating
  • temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, odors and moderate to loud noises
