Job Description

The Business Development Specialist conducts outbound call campaigns to
develop new sales opportunities for technology software products. In this
exciting and crucially important role, your responsibility is to determine if
an organization is a viable sales prospect for our offerings. You will also
schedule meetings and/or follow-up calls for Territory Sales Managers in
North America. This is an immediate Temp-to-Hire opportunity!

With at least one or two years of experience in a business development or
sales capacity, you will be on your way to building the skills necessary to
launching a successful career in the lucrative software sales field.

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • In a short and concise manner, clearly articulate company's

background and value propositions to prospective customers via outbound call campaigns

  • Conduct 200 - 250 outbound calls (weekly) to prospective customers in an effort to collect data and schedule appointments for the

Territory Sales Managers

  • Identify and qualify sales leads to increase sales pipeline and grow revenue
  • Track call activity details including number of dials, completed calls, call dispositions, and follow-up call backs.
  • Ensure data collected from prospective customers is accurate, up-to-date and of the highest quality
  • Work alongside our Business Development Associate on specific initiatives and report progress and activity on a weekly basis

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in atelephone based sales/marketing role.
  • Knowledge of basic sales processes and marketing campaigns. Excellent telephone skills combined with a track record of building customer relationships over the phone by using a professional, friendly approach.
  • Tenacious ability to overcome customer objections and rejections while remaining friendly, focused, and in control of telephone conversations.
  • Willingness to continually learn and develop business development skills. Skilled at answering customer questions while presenting value propositions in a fluent manner.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with ability to present information in a clear & concise manner.
  • Previous experience working in a sales role with an overall understanding of the enterprise software sales cycle.
  • Some experience working in Microsoft Excel (or other spreadsheet package) with a good grasp of basic functions. Solid experience in Microsoft Outlook (or equivalent) for general company communication.
  • Some experience in using and CRM/sales/lead generation databases Proven capability to work with high volumes of data within tight timescales whilst maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical, organized approach to getting work completed. Experience in gathering research, drawing conclusions and presenting findings and suggestions.
  • Genuine interest in learning the enterprise software sales process.
  • Experience in specific vertical markets & their IT needs / issues. Ability to think quickly and react with poise.
  • Willingness to think outside the box and go the extra mile to win.
  • Earned or completed some college or professional training courses, certifications, or certificates of completion.
  • Social media savvy
