NI Companies is looking to hire an Account Manager for a Distribution Company located in the Oak Brook area. The role is to act as the primary Customer Service & Account Manager to ensure that the customers receive world class service. This position is also responsible for handling various types of customer inquiries to ensure timely and accurate responses to customers. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

Job Functions:

  • Process all customer orders in a timely manner and within published constraints.
  • Confirm with suppliers the cost of the product after it is sold.
  • Issue the purchase orders.
  • Work with Customs Broker on paperwork.
  • Manage all sales order and sample documentation per customer service procedures.
  • Manage customer service inquiries via email and telephone.
  • Process inbound and outbound transactions multiple times each day, ensuring timely receipt and transmission of all documents (orders, confirmations, shipment notices, invoices).
  • Act as primary point of contact for customer complaints, logging each complaint and investigate for timely resolution.
  • Participate in managing inventory and order requirements to sustain 100% order fulfillment.
  • Act as initial point of contact for product information to internal and external customers.
  • Oversee/over check sample room inventory and sample fulfillment.
  • Manage contact for shipment. Work with partners for shipping suppliers.
  • Direct involvement with freight carriers to ensure best rates and reliable deliveries.
  • Coordinate the product to be trucked to warehouse or direct to customer, by using Just In Time delivery and meeting all delivery dates.
  • Create customs documentation for international shipments.
  • Interact internally with Accounting and Sales and externally with current and potential customers, brokers, distributors and vendors.
