Bilingual Paralegal

Staffing Now, a division of SNI Companies, is currently seeking a qualified Bilingual Paralegal for an immediate opening with our client in Houston, TX. This opportunity is with a well-established legal services firm that operates multiple locations nationwide.

Responsibilities:

• Manage prosecution of ~1,000 tax cases in three district courts, as assigned by the litigation attorney.
• Monitor service status and ensure proper service to defendants for enforceable judgments.
• Prepare necessary pleadings to obtain valid and enforceable judgments in proceedings.
• Communicate with taxpayers and defendants to prosecute cases and collect delinquent taxes and fees.
• Coordinate trial settings, draft final judgments, and maintain communication with court clerks.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, associate’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of administration experience working in a professional office environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Intermediate technical skills using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Real estate/property tax/foreclosure experience a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position starts at $18.00 an hour.  Insurance, and other benefit options that are offered include:
