Logistics Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to oversee and enhance our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics management within the manufacturing sector.  This role will be crucial in optimizing supply chain processes, managing ocean and inland freight, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and finished products.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ocean logistics management
• Knowledge of freight forwarding domestic trucking and US port operations
• Strong operational knowledge and ability to manage shipments A to Z
• Proficiency with shipment documentation, including bills of lading and AES filing
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage full container load ocean export shipments from origin to destination, including at times handling trucking and warehouse loading instructions
• Handle all documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations
• Work closely with carriers, vendors, and customers to schedule and track shipments
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients regarding shipment status, delays, or other updates
• Negotiate rates and manage relationships with shipping lines and other service providers
• Maintain and update shipment records in the company’s operating system
• Handle AES filing and ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise during the shipping process
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and building long-term relationships
