Legal Assistant

Staffing Now, a division of SNI Companies, has an immediate Legal Assistant opening working for our client in Conroe, TX. The position is managing the production, filing, and processing of all required documents, as well as conducting research needed for delinquent tax litigation up to the judgment stage. This position offers a valuable opportunity for both experienced legal assistants and entry-level applicants seeking to gain substantial legal industry experience.

Requirements:

• Manage the production of lawsuits.
• Draft, file, and issue notices for pre-trial legal motions.
• Issue, deliver, and track citations to ensure proper service.
• Prepare trial docket sheets for all cases.
• Collaborate with District Clerks, Constables, and Court staff to ensure smooth and efficient processing of cases.
• Accurately update and document information in the DTAX and ACT systems as required.
• Review District Clerk records for filings and responses in ongoing cases.
• Prepare and issue prejudgment payoffs.
• Attend court dockets and assist the attorney with docket management and related judgments.

Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position starts at $17.00 per hour.  Your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities including work experience.
