A law firm that works primarily in Monmouth and Ocean counties is looking to hire a Paralegal for its office in Monmouth County.
Qualifications
At least 1-3 years prior experience working in a personal injury firm
Should have knowledge , abilities and skills pertaining to general knowledge of law office operations, practices and procedures ( inclusing electronic filing).
Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, clients and claims staff.
Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, focused, technologically savvy, and adaptable to learning new systems and processes and be able to prioritize and multitask.
Exercise independent initative and judgement in daily tasks within a team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Provides direct pre-trial and trial support to attorneys for litigated matters of varied complexity.
Assists in the preparation, review, filing and service of pleadings, motions, discovery and subpoenas.
Conducts legal research and writing assignments which may include the preparation of medical chronologies and deposition summaries of fact and expert witnesses.
