Position Overview
Staffing now, a division of SNI Companies, seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR/Recruiting Assistant to support a law firm client in their hiring and onboarding processes. This is a long-term contract role with hybrid/remote work and flexibility in hours, averaging around 20–25 hours per week. This position may evolve into a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position starts at $25.00/hr, but can pay higher. Your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities including work experience.

Recruitment Support:
- Post job openings on platforms such as Indeed and source candidates through active searches and applicant reviews.
- Conduct initial phone screens with candidates to assess qualifications and fit.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, maintaining clear communication with candidates and hiring managers.

HR and Onboarding Support:
- Prepare and send offer letters to selected candidates.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure new hires have necessary equipment and system access on their first day.
- Assist with onboarding activities, ensuring a seamless experience for new employees.

Administrative Duties:
- Create, file, and maintain applicant and employee folders.
- Follow up with applicants to ensure timely responses and process completion.
- Provide minor HR support, such as addressing general inquiries and supporting compliance tasks.

Process Improvement:
- Take ownership of the recruiting and onboarding process, identifying opportunities for reorganization and optimization.
- Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and HR support activities, including working with IT for new hire setups.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative from the start.
- Proficiency in posting jobs and sourcing candidates on platforms like Indeed.
