Position Summary
We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Real Estate Legal Assistant (Paralegal) to support a fast-paced pipeline of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and refinances.
This role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience in real estate law, title work, and closings. You’ll take ownership of transactions from start to finish—working alongside attorneys and external parties to ensure accurate, timely, and seamless closings.

Position Summary
We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Real Estate Legal Assistant (Paralegal) to support a fast-paced pipeline of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and refinances.
This role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience in real estate law, title work, and closings. You’ll take ownership of transactions from start to finish—working alongside attorneys and external parties to ensure accurate, timely, and seamless closings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal and administrative support on residential and commercial real estate files
- Oversee the entire transaction lifecycle: open, process, and close title files
- Order, review, and resolve issues with title commitments, estoppels, lien searches, and other key documents
- Track and maintain all critical dates and deadlines
- Draft and prepare closing documents, including Settlement Statements, Closing Disclosures, HUD-1s, conveyance documents, and corporate forms
- Act as a liaison with clients, lenders, brokers, realtors, and attorneys throughout the closing process
- Keep attorneys informed of file statuses; proactively identify and escalate issues
- Balance files in preparation for disbursement and funding
- Coordinate with lenders to secure funding approval and deliver closing packages
- Record executed documents and manage issuance of title policies
- Maintain orderly and compliant digital and physical file systems
- Perform additional legal and administrative support tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred
- 3+ years of real estate law experience, particularly in commercial closings
- In-depth understanding of title processes, including post-closing, funding, and disbursements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
- Familiarity with platforms such as ClosingVue, Qualia, Simplifile, ATIDS, AltaStar, LEAP, or similar systems
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable navigating legal technology and learning new platforms
