Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Tamarac, FL, United States

Overview:

Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation of machinery and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining equipment, conducting inspections, and responding swiftly to minimize downtime. We value proactive problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough equipment inspections, make necessary adjustments, document test readings, and perform repairs.
  • Manage routine and preventative maintenance activities based on production requirements, minimizing disruptions, equipment failures, and downtime while prioritizing safety.
  • Diagnose and repair essential electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Interpret prints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to determine repair methods and sequences.
  • Execute inspection and preventative maintenance on production equipment using established programs and checklists, maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Assemble and align electrical and mechanical components using various tools, meters, gauges, and drawings.
  • Promptly respond to Facility Service Requests, addressing equipment issues as they arise.
  • Maintain the proper working condition of equipment in the Machine Shop and Plant, including CNC Machines, Welding Equipment, Air Lines, and Hoses.
  • Review project instructions and equipment specifications, planning and executing necessary repairs.
  • Fabricate or modify parts, adhering to safety procedures, to address equipment issues.
  • Investigate equipment failures and malfunctions, collaborating with production team members and technical experts to resolve issues.
  • Complete tasks efficiently to minimize production equipment downtime.
  • Ensure the proper installation of new equipment and document all testing and electronic systems.
  • Strictly adhere to lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in CNC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Maintenance experience in machining, welding, electronics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility for equipment uptime.
  • Experience with forklift repair is a plus.
