This role involves in-house and field service, including calibration, start-up, commissioning, maintenance, and customer training. The technician will also manage service billing, maintain detailed reports, and assist in promoting additional service agreements and sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field and in-house service on gas detection equipment.
- Develop service agreements and quotations for customers.
- Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide accurate service reports and initiate service billing.
- Plan travel arrangements for service trips, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, collaborating with internal teams when needed.
- Conduct customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Actively solicit additional service agreements and sales of instruments, spare parts, and accessories.
- Maintain high technical knowledge on products and services.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training; 3-6 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and enter confined spaces.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
