Job Title: Machinist III
Department: Machine Shop

Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, setting up, and operating manual and CNC lathes/mills. Ability to write CNC programs based on engineering drawings and provide technical support. Perform TPM activities, first article reports, and first piece approvals.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual & CNC lathes and mills
• Write programs for CNC machines based on engineering drawings
• Maintain tool records, offsets, and inventory
• Perform first piece inspections and ensure quality standards
• Assist with the design and fabrication of fixtures, tooling, and prototypes
• Ensure safety and adherence to quality procedures
• Provide input for method improvements

Qualifications:

• CNC programming experience (lathe/mill)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow processes
• Experience with Haas, Mazak, and Swiss lathes
• Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced shop math skills
• Self-starter with minimal supervision required
