Communications Coordinator

Staffing Now Denver, CO (Onsite) Contract to Hire

SNI Companies is seeking a motivated PR & Communications Coordinator to support public relations, communications, and administrative activities for a nonprofit company! This role offers excellent growth opportunities for a recent college graduate with a background in PR, Marketing, or Communications who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced non-profit environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives under deadlines. You will play a crucial role in organizing materials, managing digital platforms, supporting events, and assisting with social media efforts, all while contributing to meaningful initiatives that improve the lives of individuals with Down syndrome.




Key Responsibilities

Public Relations Support:

  • Manage daily media monitoring and reporting using Meltwater.
  • Organize and tag event photos and videos.
  • Assist with research and briefing preparation for live interviews.
  • Maintain rolling PR calendars and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Create and organize targeted media lists for outreach.

Website Support:

  • Conduct daily reviews of key website pages.
  • Generate periodic Google Analytics reports.
  • Assist with proofreading and copy creation for new and updated pages.
  • Organize and promote video content on YouTube.
  • Address website health issues, including fixing 404 errors and indexing pages.

Social Media Support:

  • Maintain social media calendars and ensure campaigns and posts are pre-scheduled.
  • Assist with creating and distributing monthly performance reports.
  • Support the execution of social media plans for events and initiatives.

General Support:

  • Update key media contacts and database entries.
  • Assist with planning and execution of the annual gala and other events.
  • Provide support for other duties as needed.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Strong interest in building a career in non-profit PR or media.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel expertise required).
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and copy-editing skills.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Meltwater, Canva, or Cision is a plus.
  • Experience with WordPress, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite, or CRM tools is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of video production or editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, Adobe Premiere) is a bonus.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position starts at $25.00 an hour.  Insurance, and other benefit options that are offered include:
