Medical Pre-Authorization Associate

SNI Companies is partnering with a large medical practice in Mercer County, NJ for a Medical Pre-Authorization Associate; some experience dealing with insurance, co-pays, authorizations, referrals.

Candidates should have some experience with aspects of insurance verification, referrals and the authorization process in regards to medical testing.

• Call insurance companies, referring physicians, and/or patients to verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorization status as needed.
• Make proper corrections in office database system regarding changes in exams.
• Upgrade/downgrade certification's as needed prior to and at time of study.
• Maintain updated knowledge of participating insurances and user operations for office pre-auth worklist, and Exchange EDI

In addition; you will:

• Greet and direct patients/physicians/visitors
• Enter the correct insurance information.
• Process paperwork (referrals, signatures on file, waivers, et al.
• scan insurance cards, referrals, waivers and FTP's.
• Collect office visit co-payments when necessary.
• Schedule walk in appointments.

Monday through Friday: 8:30am-5pm, one rotating Saturday every 4-5 weeks
