CNC Setup Machinist
Shift: 1st shift
Schedule: 8-hour day shift + OT as needed
Our manufacturing client is in search of qualified CNC Setup Machinists. As a CNC Setup Machinist, you will be responsible for producing complex parts, interpreting drawings and specifications to perform operations like drilling, milling, turning, and grinding. You will also operate advanced machines using standard coding.
Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or trade school

5+ years of CNC machining experience

Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills

Skilled in blueprint reading, precision measurement, data entry, and document production

Experience with Swiss-type lathes strongly preferred. If no Swiss experience, candidate should have experience with a wide variety of other CNC and manual machines (milling, lathe, etc.)

Proficient with G/M code programming
Responsibilities:

Machine and assemble parts to tight tolerances using blueprints and verbal instructions

Program, set up, and operate CNC Swiss and manual machines (lathe, mill, grinder, EDM, etc.)

Build molds, tools, and prototypes

Collaborate with engineering on part design and revisions

Train others and complete production paperwork
