Member Services Representitive
A Mercer County non-profit dedicated to supporting New Jersey's healthcare providers is looking for a Member Service Representative/Teller. This role is crucial in helping the organization achieve its goal of providing quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to the people of the Garden State.
Responsibilities
As a Member Service Representative/Teller, your responsibilities will include:

Member Interaction: Representing the credit union professionally and courteously in all member interactions.

Account Management: Accurately and efficiently performing maintenance on existing accounts.

Transaction Processing: Handling routine transactions like deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments with accuracy and efficiency.

Information Provision: Providing accurate information to members regarding account details, organization products and services, and credit union policies.

Problem Solving: Actively seeking solutions to member concerns professionally and escalating issues when necessary.

Product Knowledge & Promotion: Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all organization products and services, and effectively explaining, promoting, and referring relevant products to meet members' financial needs.

Balancing & Closing: Balancing and performing end-of-day closing activities.

Account Reconciliation: Assisting members with account reconciliation and researching discrepancies as needed.

Operational Support: Assisting with all member service and operational duties, and serving as backup to other credit union areas when necessary.

Compliance & Training: Maintaining knowledge of all relevant policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, and completing mandatory compliance and other training.

Loss Prevention: Preventing controllable losses by adhering to security, compliance, and fraud prevention policies.

General Duties: Adhering to the Employee Handbook, traveling to other locations as needed, and assisting with all other required duties.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Professionalism: Maintains a professional demeanor in appearance, communication, and action.

Organization: Well-organized, able to multi-task, and capable of quickly shifting between priorities.

Confidentiality: Maintains confidentiality of all members.

Computer Skills: Solid working knowledge of PC-based programs.

Experience (Preferred): Previous financial services experience, especially cash handling, is preferred.

Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written communication; comprehend and respond to common employee questions; and effectively present job-related information to employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.

Technical Proficiency: Sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate standard office equipment, including a computer, adding machine, fax machine, photocopier, and telephone.
